<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>For an equality-constrained optimization problem, we consider the possibility to interpret sequential quadratic programming methods employing the Hessian of the Lagrangian reduced to the null space of the constraints’ Jacobian, as a perturbed Newton–Lagrange method. We demonstrate that such interpretation with required estimates on perturbations is possible for certain sequences generated by variants of these methods making use of second-order corrections. This allows to establish, from a general perspective, superlinear convergence of such sequences, the property generally missing for the main sequences of the methods in question.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>задача оптимизации с ограничениями-равенствами</kwd><kwd>последовательное квадратичное программирование</kwd><kwd>суженная матрица Гессе функции Лагранжа</kwd><kwd>схема возмущенного метода Ньютона–Лагранжа</kwd><kwd>поправки второго порядка</kwd><kwd>сверхлинейная сходимость</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>equality-constrained optimization problem</kwd><kwd>sequential quadratic programming</kwd><kwd>reduced Hessian of the Lagrangian</kwd><kwd>perturbed Newton–Lagrange method framework</kwd><kwd>second-order corrections</kwd><kwd>superlinear convergence</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">J.
